Longsuffering: A Labor of Love

Dr. Eleanor G. Collins

This literature lays a foundation for provocation in the word of God for steadfast and immovable faith. The posture of Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane was a place of transformation and humanity. It provided a view of the world and kingdom of God in its existence as two separate ideologies. The apostles slept in humanity while Jesus conquered selfishness of the human spirit. As their posture in sleep and rest allowed the apostles an opportunity to seek peace. On the other hand, Jesus found himself alone in a transformative state of mind. He knew his purpose yet the humanity he walked the earth in cried out in midst of his destiny. The flesh will war against the spirit as a hindrance in the time of promotion and elevation. Every battle is a confirmation of greater faith and trust in the God of our salvation. Yet, the battle continues in our mind. While the flesh fights to survive bad decisions and mistakes that detour us from our divine purpose leading to disobedience and unfathomable pain. The fiery darts test our mind, emotions, physical strengths and the perceptions of what is deemed right or wrong. Spiritual elevation is found in those willing to forego their will to do the will of the father. It requires a brokenness in the spirit that only God can heal and restore. Restoration is his love; elevation is from revelation and a seat of position is acquired by the authority grown out of humility. Seated in heavenly places is an inherited right of passage imputed by what Jesus did at Calvary cross.
