A Curse for True Love

I recently finished A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber, and while I enjoyed it, I couldn't help but feel like everything was a bit rushed. The pacing of the book made it seem like we were quickly moving from one event to the next without much time to enjoy the moments. While reading, I felt like the events of the book took place over just a few days. Evangeline and Jacks are a pair I can't get enough of. While some part of me is definitely curious about Apollo, I don’t think I’d be interested in a whole book focused solely on him. He simply annoyed me to no end. My heart is with Evangeline and Jacks, and I feel like the the last book didn’t give us enough solid moments with them. There was a lot of teasing, but not quite enough. The chapters were quite short, which made the story feel brief and quick. I found it hard to care about the Apollo focused chapters, though I did enjoy the part where Evangeline smacked him. I felt like that was a well deserved and funny moment which made me giggle. One of my favorite parts of the book was (surprisingly) the scene between LaLa and Castor near the end. Their dynamic is interesting, and I’d love to read more about them. They both have so much potential for deeper exploration. Their first kiss definitely made me think it was cute but some part of me just wanted MORE after the first two books. I was expecting fireworks. A Curse for True Love was still an enjoyable read and it's one of my favorite trilogies so far. I'm also very much excited about Stephanie's future books! (And hoping in that EvaJacks cameo) 🤞
