Fourth Wing

I’ve never been able to get into audiobooks before, but this time I tried a dramatized audiobook and really enjoyed it. I think I also enjoyed it more since this was a “reread” so I was already familiar with the plot and if I got a little distracted/didn’t pay too much attention at any time, I still understood perfectly. I really enjoyed the aspect of being able to multitask while listening which isn’t really possible with reading. However, I enjoyed the book less this second time because this was one of the first Romantasy books I’ve ever read, so now that I’ve been exposed to more of the genre I have other books I’ve enjoyed more. That being said the world-building and bonds between the riders and dragons, and lore about the ||venin and wyvern||. I think the only thing that I didn’t love is how Xaden and Violet are supposed to be enemies but have instant attraction / pull to each other, at least from Violet’s pov. Violet also isn’t my favorite fmc, I like a more cunning, smart, capable fmc than a weak, naive, uncertain one. But I also know this is just book one of a series and Violet has time to grow.
