It's Not Your Fault!
Color your way as you travel with Sasha through her counseling journey. Sasha is a little girl whose parents are divorced and she is blaming herself for it. This causes her to fall into depression. She believes that if she wasn't born everything would be better. Read through to see how her counselor Dr. Jade helps her work through these emotions. This children's book will help explain to children the difficulties of having divorced parents. It helps children to know that they are not the only ones who feel this way. The book demonstrates to children that it is okay to talk to someone about their feelings and to not keep them bottled up. This book will also help parents know that divorce affects the child more than they realize and they should talk with their child after they tell their child about their divorce. This book could also be used as a tool for teachers to talk about different types of families and how everyone's family is different. At the end of the book there are questions that could be asked to children after reading the book, either out loud or to themselves, if they are not comfortable talking about it yet. Allowing the children to color their own individual book will allow them to express their feelings of how the book makes them feel and allows them to get creative.
