Shadows in the Storm
Writer Colleen Hobbs is sent by her boss back to her home town to cover the first murder the town has seen in decades. The victim is a man Colleen herself would have happily killed. She winds up trapped in a cabin, due to a flooded roadway, with Sheriffs Deputy Captain Chris Steele. Colleen hadn't seen him since they graduated high school in 1986. He had been popular in high school, and Colleen was often the brunt of his jokes. She now was a beautiful woman unaware of the beauty she possessed. Chris and Colleen both kept many secrets in their lives. Secrets that linked them in ways they never could have imagined. While trapped, more bodies start turning up dead in the quiet little town.
