The Butcher

In a post apocalyptic world of two seasons, hot Spring and blistering Summer, the Butcher is the leader of a "master race" that celebrates Butcher Bargain Day with the ritual slaughter of pigs. Burners once lived in the farmland homes seized by the Butcher's Party. In the Butcher's plan of extermination, the pigs are first, the Burners next. Raised by a high Party member who hid the child's origin, this boy, Mikkel, now a teen, is a loyal member of the racially pure Scouts --until his secret is uncovered.
