Best Summer Ever
James Church had planned this summer since he was in the eighth grade. He and his best friend were supposed to be cruising in their car, picking up girls at the city pool, and basically being kings of the city. One sentence from James' father changed everything. Now James is separated from the life he knew, pining for a mysterious black haired girl, and facing his own mortality on more than one occasion. He'll battle all summer long; against men twice his size, against his best friend, and even against Mother Nature herself. Despite all this, James will always remember this as his best summer ever.
