When the Answer Is No
Have you ever hoped and prayed for a positive outcome to a situation or illness? When that didn't happen, did you feel like God turned his back on you? It feels like you are getting a "NO" from the universe. This book takes you into the Journey of a young woman, nurse and mother as she navigates her own traumas and finds purpose through pain. One of hundreds of Public Health Nurses working in NYC on 9/11/2001, Marilyn Morales shares her memories and the PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) that she suffered after this event. Years later in 2007, Marilyn's youngest daughter, Isabella, was diagnosed with a rare Leukemia at seven months of age. The only treatment for this rare disease was to have a Bone Marrow Transplant. None of the family were matches for Isabella. Although Isabella did find her match, she succumbed to complications six months later. This experience the author calls her "personal 9/11" as she then suffered from many of the same signs and symptoms she had after the initial tragedy of 9/11. Today Marilyn speaks on the benefits of Holistic modalities to assist with stress, trauma and grief. Her family works to raise awareness for the need of Bone Marrow Donors of Latino, and mixed ethnic backgrounds. Sometimes the answer is "No" because the purpose is larger than we can ever imagine.
