When Trish agreed to go on a date with a so-called vampire, she thought it was a joke. But after waking up the next day with fangs, no reflection, a thirst for blood, and superhuman strength, she quickly realizes the joke is on her. No more days at the beach, no more afternoons in the park; the afterlife in the Sunshine State can be a real drag. With her friends begging her to turn them into vampires and her parents ready to have her committed, Trish is left with very few options on how to deal with her affliction. Luckily, she meets Chris, the "Dog Boy" of a traveling freak show based out of Gibsonton. A resident of the small carnival town, Chris spends his days chasing cats and growling at strangers, but together, this unlikely duo will teach each other that there is life after transformation.
