Mercy for Monsters - The Unmaking of a Bastard: Dark Circus Volume 8

Step right up... The lanterns burn low, the lions walk free, and the Cirque des Ténèbres has risen again from ruin. The Swan, Mei Yee, has lost her great love, Douglas O'Kemp Jr., the man the world called a monster but who was born of violence, shaped by cruelty, and never given a choice to be gentle. In the hush after his death, she wakes with a secret beneath her heart, a child born not of sin, but of mercy. Under the care of Sigrid, once a bondswoman and unwilling mother who now dares to heal what the O'Kemp name destroyed, and the steadfast devotion of Louis Dunn, the painter who believes love can rewrite blood, the boy Lucien becomes the bridge between damnation and grace. This is no simple show. Here, mercy takes the ring, monsters bow to love, and even the broken can be remade beneath the tent of the world.
