If Only

If Only...she had said that, he had done this... Leo, born in the slums, struggles with an alcohol problem inherited from his unwed mother. His abhorrence to drugs blinds him to what he, himself, is doing, and to what he does to the one and only love of his life. Coupled with this blindness is a lack of communication. This leads to separation, temporary loves, and a strange reunion with and old school chum-enemy-cum-devoted friend. This deep and wonderful friendship is the only thing that enables Leo to get through the most tragic months of his life. This tragedy humbles him, turns his life around, and re-unites him with the only woman he ever truly loved. Her story and that of little Joey (who plays a small part) is heart wrenching. It leads to the simple comment-If Only...!
