Ordinary People Verses

My name is Mike Williams and I write poetry from my heart trying to put down on paper the feelings I have experienced through life. Having spent a great deal of time in the army has added to my view of life and the many changes our world has encountered in such a small period of time. I live in Hull, East Yorkshire, England, where I have written poetry for not too long a period, but find it a good practise for saying things I would generally not talk about. Having been married now for a great number of years and watching my children grow up into adults has given me the insight into much of my written work. Also having had those years in the army they have gave me a wealth of experiences and stories that could have only been seen or experienced to be believed. I am a storyteller who by very nature likes to pass on knowledge of history and my innermost feelings, to either uplift the reader or make them think about the many facets of life. At the moment my writing takes me to creating a novel with a military base, which encapsulates all of the above. I hope to have this finished in a short period of time and hope to share with all an insight into the military with this fictional tale.
