Bad Omens

Grace Locke

Hana Choi is the daughter of the late, enigmatic guitarist, Ben Choi. The story of her father remains a mystery to all, except those that lived through life with him; Danny, Steven, Jessie and Kyle. As she embarks on her senior project, she decides to unearth the secrets behind her father's story and the careers of him and his bandmates through interviews and narratives. Utopia Gold all come from different backgrounds, but when their worlds collide and they decide to join forces as a rock group, they take the world by storm. Their fame is quick to come upon them and they lean on one another to navigate the music industry together. Throughout the madness of fame, we follow the relationship between Ben and his bandmates as he navigates depression and addiction as a famous musician. He ends up putting his hard-to-earn trust in Danny, and eventually develops feelings for him. Danny is hesitant and distant towards Ben, but their chemistry is undeniable; they begin to have relations with one another, but Ben is left yearning as Yeonjun sees him as nothing but a friend-with-benefits.
