Daddy's Girl?
This book is dedicated to every child that every questioned their existence and wondered why they are here. If you ever had to wonder where your absent parent is. If you every questioned your own value due to the desertion of the loved one that is supposed to be there. Though in this book I will be talking about my father as a therapeutic means of venting, I know that I am not the only little girl who longed for the presence of her father. The little girl who is now 46 years old that still had the little girl inside that only wants to know from her daddy that she is good enough, she is pretty enough, she is smart enough. I know what that longing feels like and it doesn’t feel good. I also know what it feels like to hear people say, “Get over it!” I wish it were that easy but it’s not. There is a whole in my heart the size of him that only he can feel and with every rejection, a new rip is created and another piece of me falls off affecting many other aspects of my life. This book is for those who can relate to this pain and suffering and yes even the perseverance to push through even though sometimes you feel like you are dying inside.
