Twelve Tales

J. D. Chung

The Twelve Tales in this book are fable-length (shorter than average modern short stories), satire-rich, nonsense stories. Below is a list of descriptions for the twelve tales: (1) Idiot's Dance - Every Thursday night is Idiot's Dance Night. Some of us like-minded idiots and losers get together and have some fun. (2) Beef's Solstice - Since they conquered the prejudice against fat people, they needed to fight the prejudice against not quite fat, but husky people next. Every corporation that had at least one hundred eighty-three employees was required to have a gentle but loud token husky person to fight against the prejudice against husky people. (3) Ode to My Side - On the original history of the art of being selfish, reasonably selfish, that is, we go back to the legend of a selfish turtle named Moody Bundles. (4) Coco Quantum - A stray cat commits suicide but has nine lives to find real freedom and happiness (5) Slam Magnum - A boxer's penchant for beautiful movements gets him into an unexpected boon. (6) Torque of Parlance - Fortune, the quintessential strumpet, is NOT on your side. The luckier you are, the unluckier you'll get. (7) Trueberry Lies - There are lies, then there are trueberry lies. Ah, how preciouslicious this life can be! (8) Vivien Hustle - She was a truck driver for a slaughter house . . . before she became the famous Vegetarian Killer. (9) Outside the Paradise - Do you always look from the outside, with your nose pressed against the window panes of the paradise? Don't. Read this story instead. (10) Cool without Purpose - The coolest guy on the planet turns down a great opportunity to make a boatload of money for cocaine drink. (11) Slash Magnum - A genius is a genius is a corporate thug. (12) Plummet's Feather - Mira Deidre Redmink, the owner of Soul Pigs Retreat will now speak to you about stress management.
