The Exit Strategy

Annabelle McLeod is a sociopathic, criminal defense lawyer that comes from old money in Charleston, SC. After her entire family dies by murder suicide, she discovers her father had been assaulting women for years and decides to utilize her vast resources to find and murder high powered men who have taken advantage of women. Pastor Daniel Shipman is a model family man and founder of a non-denominational church, after a childhood of abuse, he begins having evil urges driving him to kill sex workers who remind him of his mother. Detective Michael Reynolds is a homicide detective for the Charlotte Metro PD, a newly divorced veteran trying to keep up with the rising murder rate in the city and increasingly finding himself unable to bring cases to close and losing faith in himself and the system he operates within. After chance sightings, Annabelle and Daniel begin to stalk each other while continuing their murderous hobbies, until there is a final standoff between the two. Each character is looking for an escape from their current situations, from their evil urges, from their daily lives or from the potential to be caught for their crimes. Full of dark humor, Southern dialect, mischief and mayhem, lovers of true crime and thrillers will be in for a good time.
