The Cinnamon Bear The Missing Star

THE CINNAMON BEAR, THE MISSING STAR, hardcover, is 32 beautifully illustrated pages of adventure adapted from the famous nationwide radio series, THE CINNAMON BEAR. The story follows Paddy O'Cinnamon & his two young friends, Judy & Jimmy Barton as they search throughout Maybeland for their missing Silver Star. The apologetic thief, Crazy Quilt Dragon, creates havoc as they escape the dangerous schemes of the wicked Wintergreen Witch. With the help of Queen Melissa & the Grand Wunky, the merry team finally returns home with their Star in time for Christmas. In 1937 the Heischs wrote the story from a short poem Glan used to tell their daughters. It became a national radio Christmas special that has been broadcast across the United States every Christmas season since then. It is again on the radio this Christmas bringing joy to young children & smiles to the faces of parents & grandparents who remember it from their own childhoods. The illustrations, by well-known Los Angeles artists Jackson & Arnoff, use the subtle shadings of fine art, instead of a cartoon quality, to heighten the reader's enjoyment. THE CINNAMON BEAR, THE MISSING STAR, is a joyful & charming gift for all ages.
