Saved By The Fire

Katrina R White

This book describes my medical condition and how it affected me as well as my toxic home environment. I describe my personal growth and how I overcame my battle with severe depression. My illness became a blessing in disguise. Helping me to be removed from everything and everybody toxic around me. God allowed the healthcare professionals at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters to be my first real solid support system. Being around them just exposed the type of home environment I was living in. They always were encouraging me to do better. Always speaking positive things even when I was just so negative. They showed me the true meaning of unconditional love. God choose the perfect people to place in my life and he did just that. They were people I could trust and this allowed me to open up more. so I wasn't carrying as much of the weight of the world on my shoulders. I had been broken down to nothing. God made it so that there wasn't anybody else around, so I had to fall on my knees and just ask for his help. Everything I was doing before was only temporary fixes. When I developed my relationship with him by trusting him he healed me from inside out. Everything he touches he makes brand new all you have to do is seek him. There's nothing too hard for him. I'm living proof of it.
