Ashes, Ashes: Baptism On Fire (The Ashes, Ashes Series)

Ashes, Ashes, Baptism on Fire, is the exciting sequel to Lance Homman's introductory dystopian thriller, Ashes, Ashes, The End Is Closer Than You Fear. Follow along as Dan Edmond and Lacy Mitchell continue on their hair-raising journey following an EMP attack on the continental United States.

The country has been plunged into total darkness by an out of control terrorist-led government. As a result, Dan's failproof planning to ensure the survival of the family he loves has, in fact, failed, leaving Dan to cope with the loss of all he loved and held dear amidst overwhelming odds against his survival. What, if anything, will happen to Dan as he struggles with insurmountable pain, grief, and obstacles, and how will he do what needs to be done to survive?

Lacy was forced to leave school in Wichita, Kansas to embark on the long journey home to her parents' farm where her father has spent years fortifying his home and family for what he foresaw as the inevitable collapse of the America he loved. At the last minute, she found herself facing a decision to bring along her neighbor, Kyle Litton, a California boy with no survival training or instincts. Travel along as they become part of the Kansas Militia who's mission is to join other citizen militias across the country in reclaiming and rebuilding the country. What will become of their future, both together and as individuals in a terrifying new reality?
