Fate and Fury
In the world that Katia lives in, there are only two classes of people, the very rich and the very poor. Though she once belonged to the former class, when her father is killed, her mother sells her to the slave trader, using the money to maintain her wealthy lifestyle and remove the competition of her own daughter attracting the wealthy men she wishes to snag. When Katia is bought by Dexter Gables, her world is turned upside down. Not only is he the man who killed her father, but now, he wishes her to raise his granddaughter as her own, while living the wealthy lifestyle she has been accustomed to. However, he also insists she find a husband, so his granddaughter will have a normal family life. Too many unusual coincidences are happening to Katia and she begins to wonder who she can trust. Torn between love and confusion, Katia must find the truth about her past and what her future holds before she will agree to marry the man Dexter has chosen for her.
