Accused

The year is 1945. FDR is our President. World War II is coming to a head. Washington is infested with thieves, spies and wise guys who've weasled into government jobs, even at the White House. Chloe Lambert is a beautiful young Secret Service agent assigned as a mole in the counterfeit division. She crosses the line with a suspect and is framed for murder. With no means of proving her innocence, she's forced to go on the run. Agent Mike Taurus is tough as nails, cool as ice and devilishly handsome. He is assigned to apprehend her- the only woman he has ever loved. If you've read Elliot Roosevelt's mystery series where he cast his mother, Eleanor Roosevelt, as sleuth, you'll enjoy her again in this book.
