Elected to Eventual Conversion Shifty Foundation (Does Your God Deceive?)

D. I. Sidebottom

(From the back cover)

Volume 2 of this 5-volume study of the "Elected to Eventual Conversion" (ETEC) concept is a challenge to determine the foundation upon which any message we hear is built.

Each life is bombarded with messages in the social, economic, familial, business, academic, political, and religious realms. How is one to determine the truth-worthy-ness of the message.

Our focus is statements relating to biblical messages, but the concept is applicable for every area of life. We are being bombarded with messages from almost every corner of the world. Which ones of the multiple message we are confronted with are accurate?

How is one supposed to maintain accuracy in our preaching and teaching of biblical truth? What guide can we use to determine the truthfulness of a message? Numerous concepts often considered important as a foundation for truth are presented and shown to be inadequate. However, even when speakers claim to base their teaching on the Word of God, examples are provided which force the listener to question and disbelieve the claim!

This look at the foundation for truth became a motivation for the author to continue this study. Numerous examples are shown of various authors failing to conform to the Word of God.

Listeners must constantly test the messages they hear.
