Parish

Each summer until I was fifteen my family would pile into our station wagon and drive from Indiana to Lake Charles, Louisiana where my parents grew up to visit my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins for two weeks. It had been 23 years since my last visit to Lake Charles, since the last of my grandparents passed away. I have many vivid memories from my time there and as I have grown older and started my own family, I’ve realized how important my experiences with my family are to me. In 2013 I joined my parents to visit remaining family members and the places that have only existed
