How to Plan Your Greatness: A Former Pro Athlete and Ex-con's Success Journey
At the age of 21, Baseball Magazine ranked Carl Hamilton the #1 pitching prospect in the Chicago Cubs organization. He was on his way to fame, and life changing generational wealth. Three years and two arm surgeries later; he was out of baseball. His life began to spiral out of control into depression, suicide attempts and homelessness. Eventually hitting rock bottom when he was arrested for armed robbery. Facing a seventy-year sentence, something magical happened. He was offered a plea of five years and given a second chance. Once in prison, he enrolled in college courses, read everything he could and attended self-development group sessions to address his anger and depression. Almost four years to the date of his release, he walked across the stage at Arizona State University and received his bachelor’s degree. He's now a father, author, and business owner. Reflecting on his journey, he has realized a few things. To PLAN YOUR GREATNESS, you must ask yourself three important questions. When he asked himself these questions, he was a successful professional baseball player. When he did not his life spiraled out of control, and his shortcomings were exposed by the greatest teacher of all, LIFE. He also learned that prison was challenging, and humbling experience, as well as the most enlightening experience of his life. Prison also required him to revisit the three questions and save his life. HOW TO PLAN YOUR GREATNESS, is that success story. Enjoy.
