Caught

Graycin is a thief, not a spy. He steals food and the occasional gold coin, not enemy secrets. He’d rather impale himself than join the Dayserian army, and he doesn’t care who knows it. After all, he’s underage, so he can’t be conscripted—legally, anyways. Besides, what good is a thief to an army at war? What he doesn’t realize is just how far kings will go to conquer their opposition. How far soldiers will go to protect their country. How far generals will go to gain revenge. Most importantly, though—he has no idea how far he’ll need to go to keep from getting caught.
