Before homosexuality became a trend, I came out to my family as a lesbian. I struggled with my identity. How could I make my family happy? For several years, I did things to please others. I ended up in situations that were supposed to destroy me. Yet, I persevered and chose to live my truth. Life lessons taught me to love me.
