Viktor Lazlo, teenage heir to the Troick fortune, carpools to school on 5th Avenue with his gorgeous history tutor Vanessa Hutchinson. She's twenty-five and he's sixteen, but he drives a Morgan and lives in hope that one day.... But Vanessa, or Vanny as her BF Arts Tutor Sue calls her, has quite different views on her fleeting daily relationship with Viktor: Vanny is more interested in his homework than his romantic, extra-curricular suggestions. But she has other problems too. her Anthropology class doesn't take her Flood-Myths project seriously, so she has a moment and flees to the staffroom, where mother-hen Sue and father-figure JF treat her like a three-year-old princess. She's unsure of their intentions and it's unclear who's in love with whom.Does baby-talking Sue have the hots for Vanessa? Or is it the more aloof JF that's angling for an intimate relationship with the vivacious History Major from England? And what about Vanny herself? Will she fall into the arms of her Australian Arts Tutor colleague? Into the mix rides granite-jawed and sun-browned Sergeant Mullins of the Seventh Precinct, who admires Vanny every day from his Police Mount on 5th Avenue. He's inclined to shoot first and ask questions later when it comes to affairs of the heart and he's sweet on the little English girl in the Morgan. Can Vanny keep it together until the weekend?
