Chasing Hope

Life has always had a way of bringing Lydia down. From her sparse upbringing, to her meager job and apartment, she doesn't truly know happiness, apart from one person. Jake has always hidden his feelings for Lydia. Figuring they were too broken to be any good for each other, he shies away from anything more than friendship. Through every turn, they find themselves thrown back to each other and their unspoken feelings. Distance and time knows no boundaries when it comes to matters of the heart. Each must make a decision as to whether their past will control their future, or if they are strong enough to hope and strive for happiness once thought unattainable.
