The Struggle Is Real: What Was Meant To Destroy Me Made Me Stronger
Her childhood was a pattern of innocence and darkness. The girl eyes reflecting a depth of understanding beyond her years, as she began to see the dark shadows, she had never heard anyone speak of. She didn't know this as a mere child, but as she grew older, she came to understand that it is a gift, the Lord has trusted her to steward. A prophetic gift that allows one to see/hear into the spirit world. But with every gift, there's a cost. Age eight was a pivotal point in her life. Two men, who had been like shadows in the corners of her existence, had taken something from her that she could never get back. Her innocence was shattered into a million pieces, leaving her with a void that no amount of love or comfort could fill. Her parents remained oblivious to her silent cries for help, trusting these men implicitly, and she felt trapped in a world where she was the only one who knew the truth. As if that was not enough pain at the age of 16, she was raped by someone she never met until that dreadful night. It was a night that would forever be etched into her memory. The darkness grew around her like a thick fog, smothering any hope that had once dared to shine through. The whispers of the demons grew louder, feeding on her fear and pain. But she was a fighter who refused to let them win. But her refusing to give up came with a price also. With yet another blow and then another and then another. Black eyes, broken ankle, being cut, hit so hard she saw stars, slammed face first into a brick wall, being locked up, punched over and over and over again, choked unconscious. "Why is all this happening to me"? The aftermath of the trauma was a battleground where she was both the victim and the warrior. The world around her grew distant and cold as she tried to find refuge in the bottle, hoping to drown out the voices that haunted her. The spirit of suicide lurked, kill yourself, a seductive specter whispering sweet nothings of release and peace. But she held on, even when what she saw, felt and heard said her life was over. SHE HELD ON! FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH!
