Italy
It has always been my wish to travel to Italy since childhood. The former Roman Empire left the world the most abundant resources of cultural heritage such as historic buildings, religious art, opera houses, fine dining and beautiful rural scenery. These all attracted me in high school, including classes on Western history and culture. My 12-day journey by train included visits to 7 cities: Milan, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Rome and Vatican where the night scenery was so fascinating. The must-be-seen tourist points no doubt were not missed, such as the Expo Venue at a suburban town, a football match at the core city, and shopping for some famous leather goods at local markets.
