First year student Lowell Mitchell arrived on time for her Friday morning history class, afterwards returning to her room. Shortly before lunchtime, roommate Peggy Wooding talked to her as she lay on the bed with an arm across her face. Mitch felt sick, nothing serious, said Peggy. That was all she could remember. Because, after that, the pretty eighteen-year-old student simply disappeared... Twelve hours elapse before Chief of Police Frank W. Ford is notified.
