Through My Eyes

Through My Eyes is ananthology of poems to illustrate my artistic expression of words about how I view the world around me. Just like lyrics of a song I find it easier to communicate with people through relatable lines of poetry. It might not be what you traditionally see, but there are no rules to follow when it comes to articulating how you feel through poetry. I use my emotions to turn it into something concrete to reach the mind and heart of my readers. My poems allow me to be honest with myself, so my readers can feel something genuine when they read my work of art – the stanzas of my poetry. Through my Eyes I’ve experienced trauma and pain, joy and happiness, loss and triumph and I learned to manage my emotions and laugh a little more everyday making my number one goal to make others smile and to touch them with my words. Laughter allows me to make it through the day without feeling helpless, hopeless, worthless, and alone because I use my words to make me feel strong and powerful in my own way. But what I have learned is that through poetry I am free to express my inner thoughts without being judged. While exposing my sensitive, quiet, and shy side of my personality as I release all those negative emotions; I have bottled up inside. “And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.” ~ 1 John 1:4
