Chopin Sonatas
The aim of this edition is to present as far as is possible the text and notation that reflects most completely the original intentions of the composer, drawing upon the most important sources. Chopin's original manuscripts, the French and German first editions, together with the surviving contemporary handwritten copies have been consulted. This volume contains three advanced sonatas for piano: Sonata in C minor Op. 4 (BI 23); Sonata in B flat minor Op. 35 (BI 128); and the Sonata in B minor Op. 58 (BI 155).
