Alexa Dayne prides herself on her hard work building a successful hair salon in San Francisco with no help from her bakery running family, little sleep, and without going into crippling debt. With her finances finally in the black, her best friend married with a baby on the way, Alexa is out of sorts, needs escape, craves a challenge, and hunts for it in the wilds of Venezuela in pursuit of Angels Falls, the largest waterfall in the world.

A worn and weary soldier...

Ben Marx, a former career soldier turned entrepreneur, is running from harsh memories. Desperate to fulfill a dream and a promise he's poured every last bit of time and energy into his new venture to bring extreme adventures to the thrill-seeking. One last hike away from completing the first branch of Steel Force Adventures, he's approached by a long-legged vixen searching for a guide through the Venezuelan jungle. Her animal print body-suit and makeup scream high maintenance, but damned if he's intrigued by her resourceful nature, fearless attitude, and the fire in her ice-clue eyes. Positive she's stubborn enough to set out on her own, he opts to save her from herself and agrees to spend one week in close proximity to trouble.

Angels Falls began as a renewing trek for Alexa and the completion of a long-held dream of Ben's. When hidden motivations come to light, bonds are forged in heart-wrenching pain. When life makes other plans and turns their world's upside down, can their new-found romance survive the regrets, fears, and the need to maintain fierce independence?
