Santa's Eleven Months Off

What does Santa do on his vacation after Christmas? Find out in this hilarious picture book from author and award-winning film and television writer Mike Reiss.

In this uproarious tale, Santa recovers from a hectic December by embarking on a hilarious vacation campaign of adventure and self-improvement—from sumo wrestling, to international espionage, to continuing education (including Elf Esteem and Basic Reindeer Labor Laws).

But no matter where he goes or what he does, he's still our beloved Santa Claus. So, thanks, Santa, for all of your hard work. Go ahead and take the rest of the year off!

With sparkling rhyme, author Mike Reiss offers a funny look at what our favorite guy in the red suit does when he's done "making fifty zillion toys for the world's good girls and boys." Artist Michael Montgomery brings the story to life with expressive and energetic oil paintings. This unique story is perfect for children who are curious about what Santa does all year. A great read-aloud!
