Vice

Karin Bertagnolli

A writer, in lack of inspiration, decides to search for new ideas in South Tyrol with its mountains and lakes. There he meets a young woman who acts as if she had already known him her entire life and suddenly, they get thrown into an adventure made of sudden flashbacks, dreams, daydreams and visions leading him through ages and places as if viewing his own previous life. In each life, he finds himself connected to her, Although experiencing different life-styles and languages - and each life is violently interrupted by the same black-haired villain, somehow both of them end up being connected. Karin Bertagnolli, born in Bozen-Bolzano in 1970, started writing at the age of 14 and never gave up creating new characters and supporting her passion for nature and animals. So far she wrote short stories and reports in different newspapers as well as in Miscellanies, usually for humanitarian purposes (helping to financially support a no-kill shelter, Non-Profit Organizations or volunteers). This first novel is a journey through Ages and Cultures, in which the three main characters interact.
