The Ghost of Frankenstein - Scripts From the Crypt, Volume 16
FRANKENSTEIN CONQUERS ... THE WORLD
Human monsters, cripples and wretches, unite! Ygor, every Monster Kid's favorite blacksmith-body snatcher, adds Paramilitary Strategist to his bulging résumé when he unveils his plan to organize his country's outcasts into a fighting force. Their objective: enslave strong people and make them work for the weak. And at the head of Ygor's hideous hordes: the Frankenstein Monster!
In 1941, as Universal prepared to make The Ghost of Frankenstein, they "took a pass" on screenwriter Eric Taylor's bonkers plotline, described above. But fortunately for 21st-century Monster Kids, a copy of his script still exists; and now it rises from the ashes to become the centerpiece of the newest "Scripts from the Crypt" volume. Extras include a deluxe new Ghost of Frankenstein production history by Gregory W. Mank, Fun Facts, bonus essays and a trove of vintage photos.
