Rachel's Hope

J. R. Cellon

Harrison Grant had figured out it was possible to travel back in time by trading places with another person's soul. On March 12th 2107, Andrew Grant and his older brother Tony broke into their father's laboratory to test out the time machine. Andrew entered the Time Slicer to pretend. Tony made sure his 9 year old brother really did travel back. Andrew found that he had switched places with a 9 year old mountain boy named Caleb in 1976. A distant relative of Caleb's took custody of Andrew to help him adjust to his new life. Thinking that someday his father would locate him in the past and bring him forward, Andrew kept his heart stout against falling in love. But Rachel loved him and she did not know why there was always a 'thin wall' between them. Seventeen years after being sent back in time Andrew's father does locate him and sets a date for his return to the future. He learns that he will be heading into danger. And Rachel, the love of his life, must face the reality of forever losing her heart's desire.
