Dr. Eloise Porter has worked hard to become an emergency medical doctor. She has no time or inclination for romance. Not even for Rick "Edge" Honor, the sexy firefighter/paramedic who has an uncanny ability to make her smile, even on the darkest of days. Edge doesn't take no for an answer very often and he doesn't give up easily. He's determined to get the sexy Eloise Porter to go out on a date if its the last thing he does. It takes some doing, but he finally wears her down. While their budding romance heats up, so does a series of suspicious fires, all targeting urgent care facilities, doctors' offices, and emergency rooms. Determined to keep his doctor friend safe, Edge puts himself in the line of fire only to create a perfect storm that will put his life, and hers, in grave danger.
