Offsides

I never saw him coming.

My life goals include working with athletes—not dating them. Even though all my friends seem to be hooking up with Wildcats players these days, that wasn’t in the cards for me. Then I met Finn McCabe. The big D-lineman is a padded-up ad for sin—surprisingly sweet, scary-smart, a little awkward, and far too hot for my own good. Too bad he has questionable taste in women . . .

With the game on the line . . .

Timing that first step for a free shot at the quarterback is always my focus. The trick is not to jump too soon and be called for offsides. Unfortunately, I forgot the rules when it comes to hooking up with the perfect girl. Everything with Chessly Clarke is moving exactly on time until a certain group of jersey chasers shows up and flags the play.

Timing is everything.

The moment I look into Chessly’s dark blue eyes, I’m a goner. Then I jumped offsides. Playing football for a national championship-caliber team, I know the rewards for hard work, and Chess is worth everything I’m willing to do for a second chance. She’s a little nerdy, a lot sexy, and she ties me up in knots. She thinks she knows the score, but I’m focused on winning her heart.

Game Time.
