It's Trevor Noah

Recent events have led many of us to reexamine issues of racial equity and justice. Because parents and caregivers are their child’s first teacher, they are on the front lines, fielding questions from their children about race, antiracism, and related issues that require thoughtful responses. If we want to raise antiracist children, we have to start talking to them about racism and how to be antiracist.   This bundle combines Trevor Noah’s powerful and bestselling adult memoir , Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood with his young readers’ adaptation,  It’s Trevor Noah: Born a Crime and an enclosed discussion guide—all the necessary tools for families to share this eye-opening story with the young readers in their lives and start an important conversation.

Praise for Born a Crime:“Compelling . . . By turns alarming, sad and funny, [Trevor Noah’s] book provides a harrowing look, through the prism of Mr. Noah’s family, at life in South Africa under apartheid. . . .  Born a Crime is not just an unnerving account of growing up in South Africa under apartheid, but a love letter to the author’s remarkable mother.” —Michiko Kakutani,  The New York Times
