The Priest: Called, Consecrated, and Sent

Written and intended for his brother priests of the Archdiocese of Detroit during the Year of the Priest (2009-2010), The Priest: Called, Consecrated, and Sent contains Fr. Dan Jones' profound reflections on the treasure of the priesthood. With a background primarily in the Church Fathers, and having taught Patristics, Sacraments, and Holy Orders for years at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, in this volume Fr. Jones offers very rich and scholarly reflections on the priest as called by God, consecrated in the Person of Christ, and sent in the name of Jesus to continue His saving work. Though the book is undergirded by thorough academia, the reader--whether lay or clergy--will find it very uplifting as Fr. Dan Jones' love for the priesthood and for God pours through each page.
