Ride the High Country

With nothing left to keep him in Missouri, Jedediah Purcell is befriended by an old mountain man Hawk Winters. Joining Hawk on his quest for the men who stole his pelts, leaving him for dead, their adventures take them across the sun-baked land of the high plains into the rugged high country of the Wind River, Teton, and Yellowstone ranges. Meeting up with old friends and foe from Hawk's past along the way, they battle storms, Indians, stampedes, and murderers. Saddle up and ride along with them from the Ozarks to the Pawnee, Sioux, and Crow lands across a country where the horizon seems never to end all the way to the 1838 Wind River Rendezvous.
