I'd Rather Be A Has Been Than A Never Was

Author Ron Miller was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College and a Masters degree from Hunter College where he focused on education of the hearing impaired. He is a skilled sign language interpreter.

Ron and his wife Carole resided first in Queens, New York, then Elmira, New York, before settling in East Brunswick, New Jersey for the better part of their lives. Most recently they lived in Monroe Township, New Jersey before her passing. Ron played professional basketball and was a coach at a School for the Deaf and for AAU teams comprised of deaf players. After basketball, he excelled in the non-profit world as a senior executive directing huge fundraising campaigns that resulted in the creation of services and structures that benefited a range of populations here and abroad. Along the way he met and interacted with many diverse and interesting people. This is his story as he remembers it.
