The Headless Woman
Did you ever have a BB gun? Were you ever falsely accused of breaking a window and ordered to pay for it? This story all happens in the late 1950's as a carnival hits town with an illusion called The Headless Woman. As an old carnie uses a similar idea to boost sales at his local church food booth, the BB boy's help is enlisted. In the course of their assignment, they discover who really broke the window and BB justice follows. An underlying theme is one of inclusion. In those days, the man who ran the corner store was known by many as "the Chinaman." In the course of this story, they will not only come to know his name but also learn to respect him in ways they could never have imagined.
