Nothing really beats the Original. But instead of abducting just women, this killer takes both. Dubbed the Woodsman, he hunts his prey blending in to his surroundings. When one of his unsuspecting victims gets away. The woodsman just thinks it’s a lesson. Men and Women are being abducted. Detective Davis is on the case. Survivor of a series of abductions about a decade ago Olivia is thrusted into a world she never thought she’d have to live again. Bibi isn’t doing well. Detective David introduces Bibi to Olivia for support. Olivia’s father killed in the last series. And her friend and fellow survivor Lucy disappears into the streets, copping with addiction and homelessness. Olivia has no one.. but her three dogs. Brutus, Freya and Odin. Can Olivia, Bibi and Detective Davis solve the case before more people are snatched. I really enjoyed this second book. But it’s no where near as good as the first one. The abductions of both men and women was.. unexpected. I think Lucy’s character could’ve had a role in the book. The Woodsman was.. sloppy. But it made the story that more interesting..
