This second book of memoirs by Anna Belle Hadley begins with the history of the cousins whom her mother chose not to feed. Rejected by their own mother and abused by their father, they were also heathen, hostage and hungry. The four of us did not hear our parents express any love for us. Annie is the last one living to tell the story. Yes, we were alive; we existed, and we mattered!

This volume also covers 1977-1987 of my life; the birth of my fourth child, further isolation from family, and the religious abuse of my children. This was my everyday normal, from which I must heal.
