High school student Cassie turns part-time detective when curious events on a millionaire's estate become impossible to ignore.

Cassie and her parents recently moved into the caretaker’s cottage nestled by the front gates of the beautiful (and enormous) Rand estate. A private swimming pool and tennis court at her disposal? Check. Acres of property to roam with her best friend, K-pop loving Ami? Check. But Mr. Rand’s Russian houseguests and hush-hush milk deliveries don’t make any sense. When Cassie hears noises coming from an abandoned copper mine in the estate’s wooded mountains, she asks Chemistry partner (and crush) Chris to help investigate using his farm’s drone. They discover the mine secretly has been re-opened, and… well, that’s a real head-scratcher, too.

Solving this mountain mystery requires assistance from a delightful cast of local characters. Helpful high school teachers, a scrap metal dealer named Puddin, the mansion’s housekeeper, and the charming Mr. Rand himself provide clues that lead to a scandalous conclusion. Life in the estate's sprawling Southern mansion will never be the same again!
