The Princess and the Thief

Princess Athena never could have imagined that one indiscretion during the royal ball would end in her true love's execution. Then again, she had also believed Cain to be her literal knight in shining armor, not an impoverished thief in disguise. Still reeling from a broken heart and a guilty conscience, Athena is further disturbed by the prospect of an arranged marriage until the humiliated king offers her an impossible choice: marry the only man who would have her after the compromising public incident, or be sentence to the same fate as Cain. Surprisingly, her potential fiancé is empathetic, as his affections too lie elsewhere. But when a ghost from the past haunts Athena the night before her wedding, she'll face the most painful decision of all. Will she find herself trapped in a loveless but secure union, or sacrifice everything to pursue the romance of a lifetime-- and risk starting an all-out war between two deadly kingdoms?--
