Play Fake
Beck I wasn’t looking for love. Not when I was still trying to figure out how to let anyone in. But Sophie Prescott makes it impossible to keep my walls up— because somehow, she feels like the home I’ve always been searching for.
Sophie He was supposed to be my friend. A distraction. A lie we both agreed to tell. But somewhere between pretending and falling, Beck became my safe place. And maybe love isn’t about fixing what’s broken— it’s about finding someone who stays through the healing.

Ratings and reviews
<div>Thank you to Riley Paige for this arc in exchange for an honest review Sophie walks into a party and sees her boyfriend with another girl. Beck notices her and knows that look in her eyes. Later on Sophie’s parents ambush her outside of her dorm and want her to get back with her ex but she lies and says she’s already dating someone. She sees Beck walking near them right after she says that to her parents and hopes he’ll play fake with her. I love that Beck calls Sophie “Pretty Girl”. It’s really simple to just break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend instead of cheating on them. I hate that Beck knows that look on Sophie’s face when she walks into that party and sees her boyfriend with someone else. The whole “tell me something real” conversations are adorable. I knew it was beyond real the moment they went to visit Beck’s mom. Riley slipping in Jaxon and Carter moments was epic. That ending was perfect. Riley did it again. I didn’t stop smiling through the whole book. It’s a SLOW burn but so worth it. Thank you Riley for writing another amazing story. </div>
